I believe the board is meeting around April 19/20, and the record freeze will be around the first week of April. Board dates according to the promotion milestones document on teams shows May as the board timeframe. The Space Studies degree is not worthless. It is an overview of space. If that is what interests you, go for it. Classes suck a lot less when you care about the topic. At a basic level a B.S. is a B.S. If it is purely for a follow on job, go through job posting and see what they are looking for degree wise.
